At Providence Church we want you to have a relaxing and meaningful experience in worship on Sunday morning. Enjoy great music from our Worship team, an encouraging message from Pastor Jacob, and the fellowship of the friendly folks who gather here each week.

Here are some questions and answers that may be of some help to you as you visit our church:

What should I expect when I visit Providence Church?

When you enter the lobby at West Wilson Middle School, you will be welcomed by a smiling face who will offer you a worship program. Please feel free to grab a cup of coffee or juice (and a donut!) before entering the worship area in the gym.

You can then find a seat in the worship area. Services begin at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m., and usually last an hour and ten minutes. The Worship team leads the congregation in upbeat music that ranges from contemporary praise songs to ancient hymns. Pastor Jacob then shares a relevant, encouraging message from the Bible. As a guest, you will never be singled out.

What will my kids do?

Our engaging children’s ministry is called Providence KIDS. At Providence KIDS, children participate in a time of age-appropriate Bible learning time that is both fun and meaningful. All Providence KIDS staff are both Red Cross certified and Safe Sanctuary certified. (Safe Sanctuary is a training to ensure the safety of all children.)

Upon entering the school on Sunday mornings, children ages 0-4 can be taken to their Providence KIDS classrooms on the right-hand side of the lobby. Children in grades K-5 join Providence KIDS after the initial singing time, and they return to worship at the end of the service. Children are always welcome to stay with their parents for the entire service. The music and message can be heard in the lobby for those who need to step out or tend to children during the service.

What will my middle- and high-schoolers experience?

Most youth (6th grade and above) find the Sunday morning worship service both enjoyable and engaging. Providence YOUTH (grades 6-12) meets every Sunday night in the West Wilson Middle School cafeteria. Middle school meets from 5:30-6:30... food & fun for everyone from 6:30-7:00... and high school meets from 7:00-8:00.
