Meet Our Pastor

Jacob Armstrong was born and raised in Mt. Juliet. Following seminary, he and his wife Rachel served for 10 years at First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro, TN. In 2008, they returned to Mt. Juliet to help start Providence United Methodist Church. He has a heart for seeing people who feel disconnected from God find hope, healing, and wholeness in Jesus Christ. His most formative experiences have been mission opportunities in the U.S., Mexico, Spain, and Nicaragua. Jacob is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and The University of the South, School of Theology. He enjoys running, canoeing, and playing with his dog Zeke. Jacob and Rachel have three daughters (that’s right, three daughters!), Mary, Lydia, and Phoebe.
