Frequently Asked QuestionsAt Providence Church we want to “clear the way” so you can have a great experience in worship on Sunday morning. We want you to enjoy the great music, encouraging message, friendly people, and enjoyable atmosphere at Providence. Here are some questions and answers that may be of some help to you before you come to church. What should I expect when I visit Providence Church? When you enter the lobby at Stoner Creek Elementary, you will be welcomed by one of our Hospitality Team members who will offer you a worship program. Please feel free to grab a cup of coffee, juice, or water (and a doughnut or snack!), before entering the worship area in the gym. You can then find a seat in the worship area. The service will start on time and usually will last an hour to an hour and ten minutes. The music team will lead us in upbeat music that ranges from modern music to ancient hymns. Pastor Jacob shares a relevant, encouraging message based on the Bible. As a guest, you will not be singled out. What will my kids do?Our engaging children’s ministry is called The Reign Forest. In the Reign Forest children participate in a time of age-appropriate Biblical learning time that is both fun and meaningful. All of our Reign Forest staff are both Red Cross Certified and Safe Sanctuary certified. (Safe Sanctuary is a training to ensure the safety of all children.) Upon entering the worship area on Sunday mornings, children ages 0-4 can be taken to their classrooms on the left-hand side of the gym. Children who are Kindergarten to-5th grade are invited to and will be accompanied to the Reign Forest after the initial singing time in worship. They are brought back to worship at the end of the service. Children are always welcome to stay with their parents for the entire worship time. The music and message can be heard in the lobby for those who need to tend to children during the service. What will my youth-age students experience? Most youth sixth grade and older find the Sunday morning worship service to be enjoyable and engaging. PUMY 6:05 (Providence United Methodist Youth for those in grades 6 to 12) meets every Sunday night at 6:05 in the Stoner Creek Elementary gym.
