Volunteer in Our Community

Our community has many organizations that need volunteers - both individual and group. If you would like to spend just one hour or are looking for ongoing volunteer work, the organizations listed here need your help!

The purpose of the Help Center is to provide food and other assistance to those in need. they need volunteers to help sort food and provide other duties as needed.

The Charis Health Center provides primary healthcare at an affordable price for working, uninsured residents of Wilson County. They need ongoing clerical help to relieve staff so they can provide care to clients.

The Brooks House serves Wilson County by providing a safe, comfortable environment for women and children seeking shelter and connecting them with resources to help change their lives. They need help with daily operations, ongoing renovations, organizing donations, or just to lend an ear to listen or shoulder to lean on.

Hands On Nashville (HON) was founded in 1991 to help people transform the world around them by volunteering. HON is a recognized leader in programs, partnerships and services that maximize volunteer impact for youth, adult, corporate, and nonprofit constituencies in the greater Nashville community. Each year, Hands On Nashville refers or places 34,000 volunteers to projects in more than 300 area service agencies and schools. The mission of the Mount Juliet-West Wilson Senior Center is to promote the physical and mental well-being of Senior Citizens and to provide opportunity for the enrichment of their lives and to come together for fellowship. The Center offers seniors the opportunity to participate in programs, enhance their independence, and support the needs of other individuals. Volunteers are needed for receptionist duties, visits to home-bound, meal delivery, and class instructors (such as computer or crafts).

This continuing care retirement community provides quality retirement living and health care services for senior adults in a secure, Christian environment. Volunteer opportunities range from planting bulbs in the Nature Center to assisting with meals in the Health Care Center.
